We are not quite sure why we tell our kids they were found under the Gooseberry Bush but we have been doing so for many years and we think its a fun and quirky idea. However that isnt all the Gooseberry is good for. It makes fantastic jam cakes pies crumbles wine and well to much to mention. The Invicta Gooseberry is a great variety for growing in the garden. They are hardy plants that are highly resistant and tolerant of our harsh weather conditions. The pale large green fruit is ready for picking from JuneJuly and is often sweet enough to eat fresh. They are great for cooking and freeze well. Just watch your fingers and he is a prickley fellow. The Gooseberry Tree gift arrives in a 3L pot. Great for smaller gardens as they can be trained to any shape. The Invicta Gooseberry is self fertile. Mildew resistant. The Invicta is a heavy cropper and produces twice as much fruit as other varieties.
